LA Gear Concept Proposals

At PACIFIC, I worked closely with the marketing team to create concepts and proposals for potential clients. For this project, the focus is on LA Gear’s re-brand and launch of a new line of sneakers aimed at the Gen-Z audience. I created visuals for the project proposal, to demonstrate how the marketing might look/feel and help evolve the concepts as we brainstormed them.

For the project, the LA Gear team was also working with an influencer, Abigail Cowen, who would be helping to promote the new line of LA Gear sneakers. I feature her in many of the images to showcase her role in the project.

Concept 1: Define Your Generation

How do you define a generation? It’s hard to - because it’s the individuals that make it up. Uniquely expressing yourself is at LA Gear’s core.

Mixing with a “sketchy” feeling, this concept is expressed through unique aesthetics (or “cores”) that are not necessarily currently definable - they are always shifting and evolving.

Designs created for proposal slideshow with LA Gear.

The concept evolved into something a tad bit less “street” and a bit more elegant and modern, after feedback from the LA Gear team and brainstorming with my design advisor.

I continued designing with with the “mashup” style theme, but using high fashion models and concepts.

Concept 2: Turn The Power On

This concept is centered around a social media campaign that would start off “in the dark.” Our influencer would make Instagram reels showing the sneakers in a low-lit room, generating buzz over the mysterious videos.

Over time, social media videos would become more and more well lit, revealing the new line of sneakers in neon light. I created this visual for the presentation, to demonstrate how the reveal might feel to the audience.

For the presentation, I created unique visuals and slideshow templates for the team to use, to help elevate us as a team and show off our design powers!

Although LA Gear loved these concepts, they decided it wasn’t the right time to move forward with the project. This was an exciting project, and I’m glad I got to collaborate with the whole team and work with LA Gear to help represent their brand!
