Timeline
2 weeks initial meetings and research → 2 weeks art direction → 1 week wireframes and prototyping interactions ✸ 3 weeks finalizing website with stakeholder feedback
Design Directions
Initially, the client didn’t understand the presentation of moodboards combined with UI elements for the design direction, and rejected all the directions based on this confusion.
However, after separating the photography and the UI, and asking the client to pick the ones they liked, we were able to come to a better alignment as client and team.
As the design team was working with a photographer, the initial design directions were essential to incorporate both the mood, as well as the direction for the user interface.
The color scheme was chosen based on the finalized design direction, which incorporates jewel tones that feel fresh but luxurious.
